Community Comes Together for "The I'm So Super" Autism Awareness Event

Compassion, education, and community were at the forefront as families, advocates, and local organizations gathered for the annual "The I'm So Super" Autism Awareness Event, hosted by Nathan Berry, founder of the I'm So Baton Rouge brand. Held at the Goodwood Library, the event brought together more than 25 vendors, community partners, guest speakers, and families for a day dedicated to promoting autism awareness, acceptance, and inclusion.

Designed to educate, inspire, and connect, the annual event created a welcoming environment where families affected by autism could access valuable resources, discover local support services, and engage with organizations committed to making a difference throughout the Baton Rouge community.

Throughout the day, attendees explored a diverse vendor marketplace featuring nonprofit organizations, service providers, educational resources, and community businesses dedicated to supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. The event served as a one-stop destination for information, encouragement, and meaningful connections.

One of the most impactful moments of the program came through heartfelt testimonials shared by individuals and families whose lives have been touched by autism. Their personal stories offered honest perspectives on both the challenges and triumphs experienced along their journeys, creating moments of understanding, empathy, and inspiration for everyone in attendance.

The event also featured a lineup of guest speakers who emphasized the importance of advocacy, early intervention, education, and community support. Through their messages, attendees were reminded that awareness is only the beginning—and that true progress comes through inclusion, compassion, and collective action.

Beyond the educational programming, the atmosphere throughout the Goodwood Library reflected the spirit of unity that has become synonymous with the "I'm So Super" Autism Awareness Event. Families connected with one another, children enjoyed interactive activities, and community members came together with a shared commitment to celebrating every individual's unique strengths and abilities.
